At Affinity we believe in giving our community every opportunity to further better and develop themselves. We understand some people would like to train more, and others would like alternate days, so we will be launching new KBX classes soon, including ‘X-SERIES’ an advanced session focusing on technique, form, strength and power like never before.
The first new KBX (Kettlebell X-Train) session will be at 6:30pm Thursday August 15th at St Mary’s hall and grounds, Frome. Reserve your space now! There will also be new classes running on Tuesday and Friday day times where demand is wanted, and sessions before 9:00am weekdays. If you have specific times you would like please get in touch and we will do our best to meet them.
We will also be launching the Affinity ‘Wild Card’ a monthly membership scheme which will allow you to come to as many KBX sessions as you so wish, one ‘Call Of The Wild’ and one ‘Run Of The Wild’ per month, plus a few other perks!
It’s the Frome Half Marathon, 10K and 5K this weekend and many people will be taking part in this great event, but running in hot, humid summer conditions is dangerous be it dehydration, heat cramps, heat exhaustion, heatstroke and hyponatremia. That’s why we want to encourage you to get us (The Team Affinity Wolf Pack) wet and help see us through. We can’t speak for everyone else doing the race, or expect you to come on the running route at all, don’t! This is a well organised event there will be plenty of water stations, and we are in no position to dictate what is right for it. But, if you’re at the sidelines and see us in the crowd, in our vests, please shout out. You’ll be sure we’ll be more than thankful to be cooled down by whatever safe means possible! Frome is an amazing place, it’s even better when our community is the driving force behind you.
It’s great to push people beyond their limits, it’s even better to reward them. Awesome Call Of The Wild this morning in stupid temperatures, but everyone prevailed… just the girls beat the boys Hoorah. Thanks to Brian’s Ices for the visit, well deserved.
